Painting done for the Gnomon Workshop monthly competition with the theme of 'Oops!'. Apart from the obvious main idea the end of the world, black hole scenario, it was inspired by the news item a while back about the HADRON particle accelerator at CERN. If you didnt see that item then you missed the end of the world There are a few visual puns in the image some of which are a bit obscure. Painted entirely in GIMP.
